Description:

A classic English Burleigh Ware plate decorated in the enduring Willow pattern, featuring a finely printed cobalt-blue chinoiserie landscape with pagodas, bridges, willow trees and birds. The design is applied using traditional transfer-printing techniques for which Burleigh is renowned. The reverse bears the correct mid-century Burleigh backstamp.

The plate exhibits a warm ivory glaze with gentle surface crazing, consistent with age and manufacture. A handsome example of traditional English tableware, well suited to both decorative display and use.
