Attribution: Probably Empoli (Tuscany), Italy — mid-20th century (circa 1960s–1970s).

Description:

A substantial, hand-made blown glass vase of deep amethyst (plum) colour with a clear, applied foot. The body is heavy and thick-walled with typical Empoli mass and color saturation. The clear disk foot is applied separately and displays irregularities consistent with hand finishing. There is slight asymmetry to the form and signs of pontil/polish on the base. No visible manufacturer’s label or incised signature in the supplied image.
