A whimsical novelty bird model constructed in mixed materials, the carved and stained wooden body of ovoid form mounted on a coiled metal spring, set upon a circular red-painted metal base. The head, finished in bright green paint with simple applied eyes and a protruding beak, is attached by an additional coiled spring allowing animated movement.
The piece is designed as a tactile desk or shelf ornament, the dual springs creating a lively bobbing motion when touched.
